Schedule Problems

Issues with the broadcast schedule — changes not saving, wrong week showing, or schedule not generating episodes.

Changes not saving

Check you clicked Save

The schedule builder doesn't auto-save. You must click the Save button after making changes. Unsaved changes are indicated in the toolbar.

Draft recovery

If your browser crashed or you navigated away with unsaved changes, the schedule builder stores a local draft. When you return, a recovery dialog offers to restore your unsaved changes.

Network errors

If saving fails with a network error:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Refresh the page and log in again (your session may have expired)
  3. Try saving again — the schedule builder preserves your changes locally

Permission errors

Delegate users don't have access to the schedule builder — only account owners can edit the schedule. If you get an "access denied" error, contact the account owner.

Wrong week showing

Understanding week rotation

Most stations use a 1-week rotation (same schedule every week). If your station uses a multi-week rotation (e.g., 2 weeks), the schedule alternates between weeks automatically.

The current week is calculated from your stream's start date and rotation length. The schedule builder shows which week is currently active.

Checking the current week

  1. Open the Schedule page in the dashboard
  2. Look at the week navigation — it shows which week number is active
  3. The week that matches the current date is highlighted

If the wrong week is active

The week calculation is automatic based on your stream's week_start_date setting. If the rotation seems off by a week, it may be because the start date needs adjusting. Contact support if the week rotation doesn't match your expectations.

Schedule not generating episodes

The schedule drives automatic episode generation. If episodes aren't being created:

Check the show has a series

Every show needs at least one series (the internal link between shows and the schedule). Shows created through the dashboard always have a series. If a show was created via the API or database, it may be missing one.

Check the recorder is running

Episodes can only be generated from recorded audio. In Stream Settings, check that:

  1. The stream URL is set and accessible
  2. The recorder status shows as active
  3. Recording has been running long enough to cover the scheduled time

Check the schedule has entries

Open the schedule builder and verify that the show has blocks assigned for the current week. Empty schedule slots don't generate episodes.

Check the time alignment

Schedule times use your stream's timezone. If episodes are generating at the wrong time:

  1. Check your stream's timezone setting in Stream Settings
  2. If episodes are consistently early or late, adjust the Stream Delay Offset (0–599 seconds)

Shows overlapping

The schedule builder validates for overlaps when you save. If two shows overlap:

  1. The save dialog will warn you about the conflict
  2. Edit the schedule to remove the overlap — reduce one show's duration or move it to a different time
  3. Save again

Schedule not appearing in player

If the schedule is set in the dashboard but not showing in the player:

  1. Check the feature toggle — In Player Settings, make sure Show Schedule is enabled
  2. Check shows are published — Only published shows appear in the player schedule
  3. Wait for cache — The schedule API caches for 60 seconds. Wait and refresh.
  4. Check the player URL — Make sure you're looking at the right stream

Undo/redo not working

The schedule builder supports up to 50 undo states. Undo/redo state is:

  • Preserved while you're on the schedule page
  • Lost if you navigate away or refresh the page
  • Not shared between browser tabs

Use Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z) to undo and Ctrl+Y (or Cmd+Shift+Z) to redo.
