Analytics Overview

AutoPod tracks every listen across your station — every episode play, every device, every app. The Statistics dashboard gives you a clear picture of how your content is performing and who your audience is.

What AutoPod tracks

AutoPod collects listener data automatically from every episode play and live stream connection. No setup required — statistics start collecting from the moment your first episode is published.

Data is collected in near real-time — the log collector runs every minute, and aggregated summaries are refreshed daily.

The Statistics dashboard

Go to Statistics in the dashboard sidebar. The statistics page has five tabs:

Headline numbers

The Overview tab shows your key metrics at a glance:

  • Today's Listens — How many plays so far today
  • Last 7 Days — Total plays in the past week
  • Last 30 Days — Monthly listening total
  • Last 90 Days — Quarterly performance
  • Unique Listeners — Individual listeners (deduplicated by device)

A chart shows your daily listen counts over a configurable time period:

  • 14 days — Short-term trends
  • 31 days — Monthly view (default)
  • 90 days — Quarterly trends
  • Custom date range — Pick any start and end date

An outlier detection toggle removes extreme spikes (e.g., bot traffic or viral shares) to reveal your typical listening pattern.

How unique listeners are counted

AutoPod identifies unique listeners by combining their IP address and user agent (the app or browser they're using). This means:

  • The same person on their phone and laptop counts as 2 unique listeners (different devices)
  • Two people on the same Wi-Fi network count as 2 unique listeners (if using different apps/browsers)
  • The same person listening twice on the same device counts as 1 unique listener

This approach gives you a reliable picture of your reach without requiring listener accounts or tracking cookies.

Include deleted episodes

A toggle at the top of the statistics page lets you include or exclude plays from deleted episodes. If you've deleted old episodes but still want to count their historical plays, turn this on.

Historical data

AutoPod retains listener data going back to when your station was first set up — including historical data recovered from 2020 onwards. There's no time limit on the data you can view or export.
