Homepage Builder

Create a custom landing page for your station by arranging content blocks — a mix of your station's live data and your own content.

How it works

The homepage builder lets you arrange blocks on your station's landing page. Each block is either:

  • An automatic section — pulls live data from your AutoPod account (latest episodes, shows, schedule)
  • A custom content block — your own text, images, embeds, or HTML

You arrange the blocks in the order you want them to appear. The homepage renders them top-to-bottom.

Default layout

If you haven't customised the homepage, it shows a sensible default:

  1. Latest episodes — Your most recent published episodes
  2. Now playing — What's on air now and what's coming up next
  3. Shows — Grid of all your published shows
  4. Explore — Featured content and discovery

Block types

Automatic sections

These pull live data from your station — they update automatically as you publish new content.

Block typeWhat it shows
EpisodesLatest published episodes across all shows
Now / NextCurrent show on air and upcoming shows from your schedule
ShowsGrid of all published shows with artwork
ExploreFeatured content and discovery section

Custom content blocks

These contain content you create directly.

Block typeWhat you provide
TextWrite in Markdown — headings, paragraphs, lists, links. Automatically converted to formatted HTML.
ImageAn image URL and alt text. Good for banners, sponsor logos, or photos.
EmbedA third-party embed (YouTube video, Spotify playlist, etc.). Provide the embed URL and it's rendered as an iframe.
HTMLRaw HTML for anything the other block types don't cover. Sanitised for safety.

Tips

Keep it scannable

Most visitors will skim your homepage. Put the most important content (what's on now, latest episodes) near the top. Save supplementary content (about text, sponsor information) for lower blocks or custom pages.

Use text blocks for calls to action

A short text block with a link to your donation page, volunteer signup, or social media can sit between automatic sections without disrupting the flow.

Automatic sections update themselves

You don't need to edit the homepage when new episodes are published or the schedule changes. The automatic sections always show current data.
