Specifications for images used across AutoPod — station logos, show artwork, and episode artwork.
Station image
Your station image is used as your logo across the platform.

Where it appears
- Player — Station header, splash screen, browser tab icon
- PWA — App icon on home screen, dock, or taskbar (scaled to 192px and 512px)
- RSS feeds — Podcast app listings (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.)
- Widgets — Station branding in embedded widgets
- Sites — Station logo on your AutoPod Site
- Notifications — Icon in push notifications
Use a square image with a simple design that reads well at small sizes. Your station image will appear as small as 32px (browser favicon) and as large as 512px (PWA splash screen). Avoid fine text or intricate details that disappear at small sizes.
Show artwork
Each show can have its own artwork, displayed alongside episodes.

Apple Podcasts requirements
If you submit show feeds to Apple Podcasts, Apple requires:
- Minimum 1400 x 1400 px
- Recommended 3000 x 3000 px
- JPG or PNG format
- RGB colour space (not CMYK)
Using the recommended 3000 x 3000 px ensures compatibility with all podcast platforms.
Episode artwork
Individual episodes can have custom artwork that overrides the show artwork.

Where it appears
- Player — Episode detail, now playing, lockscreen controls
- RSS feeds — Episode-level artwork in podcast apps
- Widgets — Episode cards, featured episode
- Sites — Episode pages
Episode artwork is optional. If not set, the episode uses its show's artwork. If the show has no artwork, it falls back to the station image.
Pre-roll audio artwork
Pre-roll (intro) audio files don't have separate artwork requirements — they inherit the show's artwork when prepended to episodes.
Best practices
- Use PNG for logos with transparency, JPG for photos or complex artwork
- Keep file sizes reasonable — large images slow down page loads. A well-compressed 3000x3000 JPG is typically 500 KB–2 MB
- Use consistent branding across station, show, and episode images for a professional look
- Test at small sizes — preview your artwork at 64x64 px to make sure it's still recognisable
- Avoid text-heavy designs — text becomes unreadable at smaller sizes used in widgets and notifications
